I developed a passion for nature, travel and human nature in my life experiences. It began as a child experiencing boating and then exploring adventures in the Sierra Nevada mountains. I graduated from California State University Majoring in Social Work/International Relations. I enlisted in the U.S. Army for several years to gain discipline, leadership and challenge myself physically. My next challenge was becoming a Psychiatric Counselor for children at the Washington State Treatment Center. Five years with children with mental, physical and emotional disabilities enhanced my compassion and passion to learn more. This helped me to transition my efforts towards counseling criminal youth that were incarcerated. My focus was to prevent future victims through intensive treatment and accountability. I became a Certified Counselor with an expertise in Sex Offending Behaviors and then Supervised several Intensive Treatment programs. I then trained to go out into the community as a Parole Agent for adults released from State prisons. Experiencing the Law Enforcement and Social responsibility aspect of transitioning felons into society was my final challenge. I retired and have continued to develop myself and help my community as I can. Driving the elderly to their appointments, helping my family, and supporting animal wildlife centers.
