The year was 2009, and the country was in the grips of the Great Recession. The housing market had crashed, the number of real estate transactions in the U.S. had fallen in half, and agents were flocking to greener pastures. With this backdrop, 8z Real Estate was formed in a cramped Boulder, CO office; 30 agents and one revolutionary notion – the real estate experience was broken, and needed to be fixed for both consumers and agents.
